Students will learn to use gumpaste to create a Southern Magnolia.  

 

Students will learn to cut and wire the petals, to dust them for realism, how to shape the petals, how to create the distinctive center of the flower, how to cut, color and glaze the leaves and will assemble everything into a completed flower.  

 

Students will learn to create a modeling chocolate log, to texture and color it, to support their flower.  

Students will learn when to use confectioner’s glaze, when to use steam and how to proceed when only part of an item needs glaze.
